It works fine but the speaker makes chirping noises. I would like to transfer the firmware to an M5 AtomS3 Lite. What is the preferred and easiest way to do that? I am a novice with this tech so I thought I would ask the experts. The reason that I am asking is I like to have backup hardware in case one fails that I can plug in without having to do any software loading and configuration for some critical IOT devices.

There are enough hardware differences that make them incompatible.
