I erased the memory and then flashed the official firmware. The Tab 5 then boots and when it displays the normal 'Tech' screen, there is a very noticeable flicker at something like 5 or 6Hz and the screen isn't quite as bright as normal. I tried re-flashing a couple of times and its still the same. At this point I downloaded other programs and the flickering is still there.

Whats happening and where have I gone wrong?

Well I flashed the firmware several times and also flashed a couple of apps on M5Burner and nothing made any difference, everything just flickered so I switched off and left it for the night, next morning I was going to video the issue and when I switched on my Tab 5 again, the fault had cleared.

No I don't, thats a completely different issue. On my display the picture is perfect other than the backlight flickers at about 5 or 6 Hz. Once I had downloaded and flashed the new firmware, this is when the issue started. Deleting the demo program and installing a couple of other progs makes no difference, the flickering is still there.
