I have found that as i connect battery - the screen starts fading out on the usb or main power disconnect which points me to the idea that connector for battery feeding not only RTC but everything. Also the battery is drained very fast and no RTC time survived as it is reset to 0 after several hours</p>

<p dir="auto">the battery connector powers everything, including RTC. But, yes, when the external battery is fully drained RTC time is lost as there is no built-in battery for the RTC.</p>
