Fildena is a prescription medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains sildenafil citrate, the same active ingredient found in Viagra, and belongs to a class of drugs known as PDE-5 inhibitors. Fildena works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps men achieve and maintain a firm erection. It does not cause an automatic erection and is only effective when sexual arousal is present.
