Is that normal?]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">I just unboxed my V2 camera and let it do some object detection and it overheats within 5 minutes. I don't think there's a fan, but there should be a heat sink on it. Has anyone else had this problem?</p>

The ESP32 has cracked and literally let the smoke out. Not sure if that is related but clearly I can't risk using the 30 or so units we bought.</p>

Is that normal? on Sun, 26 Sep 2021 08:44:43 GMT]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">My new UnitV2 was overheating and shutting down as well during object detection. Running sudo cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/temp_out I could see the temperature consistently above 90 and and like you it only lasted for 5 mins before shutting down. I took the back off the unit and saw that the fan was oriented incorrectly - the fan output should point upwards so the air flows over the heatsink; mine was venting sideways! After re-orienting correctly the temperature stays around 70 degrees and no shutdowns :-). I hope this helps...</p>
