<![CDATA[DC Input questions on M5dial]]>Hi all,

Quick question on this - I was hoping to take a usbc input and route it through the dc connector (just because the panel mount I'm using has wires on the inside rather than a usb lead) but I have read that the voltage it requires is 6V minimum - so am I right in thinking I can't use a usb power in to power through the DC port? If not I'll put a usb connector on the end of the wires.

USB power (5V) won’t be enough since the DC input requires at least 6V. If you’re set on using the DC port, you’d need a step-up converter. Otherwise, adding a USB connector to the wires sounds like the easier option.
