More About The Author
L.M. Loyd was born in Oakland California. At the age of one he was abandoned, by his mother and placed in foster care. Next, he was taken to Madisonville Louisiana where he met the only mother he ever knew. Living a life below poverty level he was running through the swamps barefooted with his dog Red while facing many dangers. At the age of seven he received his first pair of shoes and was placed in a local parochial school. Soon after, his father whom he had never met and was in the United States Navy, came to take himself, his mother and newborn sister far from the land he had come to love, leaving his dog behind.
His father was an evil task master, but he learned to survive. He did not return to school until much later. Finding the love of another dog named, Captain Cuno, they spent many days and nights roaming the woods of Milton Florida. Reaching the ninth grade he started playing high school football, which he found to be rewarding.
