power M5Stack Gray core from a pair of 18650 batteries

can I power M5Stack Gray core from a pair of 18650 batteries connected (parallel way) to battery and ground pins of 2X15 socket?
if yes:
can I recharge the batteries? How? maybe adding something like this?best regards

@cepics There are safety risks， so we don't suggest you do that. if you want to extended the battery, pls use a built-in charging protection circuit battery.
