SSID With Spaces

I have seen several posts that M5Stack devices cannot connect to an SSID with spaces. Other devices with this problem work around it by allowing a '_' or some other character to substitute for the space.
Do I need to change all the SSIDs in my home network to make M5Stack devices usable? Or is there a special character workaround?

@wsanders Yes, the SSID's need to be changed as far as I'm aware, the issue is with Micropython.
