      Hi,
I recently ordered some of the twisted pair cables with ferrules (https://docs.m5stack.com/en/accessory/cable/24awg_cable). They're sold as Shielded Twisted Pair, but the documentation doesn't specify which colours are paired together.

In addition, the colours specified in the documentation include white, but I received cable without a white wire. Instead there is a yellow wire.

If anyone could help with details about which colours compose the two pairs it would be appreciated.

      Thanks

This didn’t answer the question. I need to know the combinations of colours inside the cable which are twisted together (eg, black and red are pair one while green and yellow are pair two vs black and yellow are pair one while red and green and pair two)

This is important for signal integrity for differential protocols such as RS485 or RS422. The whole point of using a twisted pair in these cases is to put the negative and positive components of a signal over the pair so that any interference picked up will impact both the negative and positive signals in the same way and leave you with the same differential.

The support team disassembled a cable and the pairs are:

              • Red and black
              • green and yellow
