StickV K210 (MK1) remote trigger assistance please?

Could some of you code gurus help me out Modding the code for the MK1 StickV?
I would like to remotely trigger the Capture Picture (press of button A) from core connected to a turntable.My question is (and I don't know if it the heat in the UK killing my brain) how would a mod the python code to respond to a pin trigger on the grove port instead of pressing button A?
This is for an upcoming project and is only one part of a series of steps in the project.
