Does the Env Hat cover the IR and LED?

I'd like to use the Env Hat and the IR at the same time.
From the photos, I can see the hat has a cutout where the IR led is, but I can only see it on the side where the connector lies.
If I connect the hat, is the IR and led covered by it? Or can I still use those?

I have the Env Hat and it blocks the IR and LED. I don't have the Hat with me now, I can check tonite and update you if it is otherwise.

Sorry, it turns out I only have the speaker hat. And the opening does not "pass thru" from one side to the connector side. But I guess you can find a way to cut out the opposite side?

It would be pretty easy to open the ENV hat with a hex wrench and drill out a hole so the LED is easily visible without damaging the ENV hat. The IR transmitter might need a light pipe (if those work for IR). -
