Pytoh code not running after download to device

Hi, i'm writing a digital clock using python code. I'm using UIFlow ide to test my project, and when i run it , it works.
But when i download to the device in order to make it run without the ide, it does not work.
These are the first lines:
lcd.clear()

lcd.font(lcd.FONT_Default)
lcd.print('v 1.05 06/12/2021',0,0,0xffffff)
wait(1)
try:
buffer = open("/sd/sandra01.jpg").read()
lcd.image_buff(lcd.CENTER, lcd.CENTER, buffer)
wait(3)
except:
pass

lcd.clear()

the print function is the only one that runs.
Why it's working when executed from the IDE and not when downloaded to the M5 Core?
