M5Stack Fire will not pass special characters correctly on password when signing into WiFi for initial setup



  • When first connecting to your home gateway, the M5GO software that comes with the M5Stack Fire does not work with special characters. For example if you enter a "#"in the password, the software sends it to the gateway as an ASCII string and the router does not accept it. I had to change the router WiFi password to all letters and numbers to setup the M5Stack Fire when it first arrived.
