      Hi, I got my M5stack (basic, black) today and flashed it with the 1.1.1 UIflow firmware on my linux machine using the instructions I posted here: https://yaleman.org/post/2019/2019-01-23-m5stack-on-linux/

      It seems to have worked, because it boots and all the apps work, but when I select either option in the setup menu (change wifi or link server) it just reboots back to start. The wifi_scaner app in the APP.LIST menu also reboots the device.

      Is this some bug, or did I waste my money and it is not supported for UIflow? Did I get a broken unit?

        @yaleman I have a black running 1.1.1 have you tried reflashing it?

        UIFlow, so easy an adult can learn it!
        If I don't know it, be patient!
        I've ether not learned it or am too drunk to remember it!

          I figured it out - I was using an earlier version of esptool from apt, v2.1. Removing that and using "pip install esptool" to get v2.6 made it work. I've updated my post with information on the differences.
