      Problem

      OS: MacOS 13.6.3 (intel)
Application: M5Burner (latest version, on Aug 4)

The serial port cann't display in M5Burner application.

      Steps taken

      1. Tried different IDEs, but nothing worked.

      2. Switched USB cables, yet COM port was still not visible.

      3. Attempt to turn the USB lead upside down when plugging into the device without success.

      4. I quickly press the boot button and Serial port was able to display, but soon disappeared. I seize the opportunity to click "erase" button, but it still didn't work and show the following error.

      Error message:

      Erase Flash
      esptool.py v4.7-dev
      Serial port /dev/tty.usbserial-58640309931

A fatal error occurred: Could not open /dev/tty.usbserial-58640309931, the port doesn't exist

      Solution:

After removing the base and battery, I tried the 4th option and successfully erased the firmware!!!

      Question:

What are the possible casues of the issuse?
How to burn the fireware correctly?
      What steps should be avoid?
