    • 8Encoder Issue "tick"

      Hi there,
I got a new 8Encoder unit: very nice devie!
However, I found a pretty anoying bug/ issue:
It looks like turning one tick (mechanical resolution) give 2 increment/ decrement.
It's possible to get 1 tick by hloding the knob between the ticks, but this is not permanent then...
I guess that should be solvable with a firmware update?
Is it possible to update the module? Bootloader?
(I found SWD pads so I could flash the unit with a debugger...)
      My unit has Fw.Vers. 1.

      Kind regards,
      Stephan

    • RE: Frequency measurement with hardware interrupt handler

@ajb2k3 : thanks for clarification. I really only used "play" button 😬
So after donloading and booting directly from Core2 it performed better.
But after I reintroduced temperature sensor reading (i2c) it was again very unstable.
To me it looks like there is not really interrupt driven counting activated...
(If I e.g. load the frequency measurement only and only update LCD w/o delay the frequency reading is totally off (too small count). With some delay it is better. But with some more workload it is not reliable that way?...

Somewhere I read that it's possible to use the "button" element to get interrupt: but how to link GPIO to the button?

      @iamliubo
Yes, I ran it on Core2.
It measures frequency but very unstable.
I meanwhile found that it's better if I introduce a wait loop. Looks like writing to the display consumes too much time.
But I think there should be a possibility to use iram. It shouldn't happen that such a relatively "slow" signal can be missed?...

    • Speaker

      Hi there,

How can I play tones with speaker in UIFlow?
For Core 2 there is only play wave file?
How can I upload a wave file to the core?

      Thanks!
      Kind regards

    • RE: How to exit Core2 setup Wi-Fi Config?

      Hi Mike,
I also just flashed Core 2.
I recognized the same behaviour as you described, I now found that if you select UIFlow setup after reboot and select "WiFi" it works. To me a bit strange: if I download program from UIFlow Core 2 reboots and loads app. If I want to reconnect for downloading changes I have manually to reboot and again select WiFi-connection...
I also inserted SD card as I thought it's maybe related to memory, but same.
If I use Desktop UIFlow it's also necessary to reboot Core 2 to connect and download eachtime, is this really designed that way?

      Kind regards,
      Stephan
