I want to create a humidity device that will turn on my ventilation above a certain threshold (it has an undocumented API I hope to use). I see there is an ENV IV unit with humidity sensor. Initially I was looking at the NanoCS but now I also see there is Atom Lite that seems very similar. Not sure which do choose. But my question would be the same for both devices I guess. And it might be a bit stupid. How do I power these things? Obviously I can use a USB-C charger but this device will be used in my bathroom where I only have one socket. So I would prefer to use batteries. Do I use put it up to a USB-C power bank? Can I use normal AA batteries somehow? What about moisture?
And how long can I expect this device to run on a small battery? The app will just take humidity level as input every 10 seconds or so then if above X send a http request. Then a timer of for example 10 minutes before checking humidity level and turn off ventilation of humidity is below threshold. So power consumption wise I belive this should be quite efficient but I have no experience developing for hardware.
