Kuwait does not have a national minimum wage law that applies to all workers. However, the government has established Minimum Wage in Kuwait standards for certain groups, particularly public sector employees and specific categories of expatriate workers.
For expatriate workers in the private sector, many employment contracts—especially those under government tenders—require a minimum monthly wage of around 60 Kuwaiti dinars (KD). This figure may vary depending on the nature of the job and employer policies. Domestic workers and other household employees are also covered under specific labor regulations that set minimum wage levels and working conditions.
