@Jomac If you watch the video, I have this little defect that doesn't happen often (a flashing).
The link doesn't work for me
Well I flashed the firmware several times and also flashed a couple of apps on M5Burner and nothing made any difference, everything just flickered so I switched off and left it for the night, next morning I was going to video the issue and when I switched on my Tab 5 again, the fault had cleared.

RE: Tab 5 screen flicker after firmware update
I switched the Tab 5 on earlier this evening and this mystery fault seems to have cleared and I'm non the wiser. I must have turned the unit on and off thirty or so times and download several programs before with this fault present each time, so why has it cleared after leaving the Tab 5 alone for 24 hours?

Do you have the same problem that other people have had?
https://community.m5stack.com/topic/7737/tab5-display-issue?_=1755381438444No I don't, thats a completely different issue. On my display the picture is perfect other than the backlight flickers at about 5 or 6 Hz. Once I had downloaded and flashed the new firmware, this is when the issue started. Deleting the demo program and installing a couple of other progs makes no difference, the flickering is still there.

Tab 5 screen flicker after firmware update
I've only just got my hands on my Tab 5 and after playing with the standard screen I downloaded the official firmware using M5Burner. I erased the memory and then flashed the official firmware. The Tab 5 then boots and when it displays the normal 'Tech' screen, there is a very noticeable flicker at something like 5 or 6Hz and the screen isn't quite as bright as normal. I tried re-flashing a couple of times and its still the same. At this point I downloaded other programs and the flickering is still there.
Whats happening and where have I gone wrong?

if so what com port it shows there when you connect cardputer?
also what com port it is showing when cardputers on/off switch is in off and then you press and hold BOOT btn and then connect usb?It depends on how it feels, sometimes it will connect on Com 4 and other times on Com 9???

RE: Cardputer Driver Issues
Many thanks for your reply. I have to admit I am a total NOOB here. For a couple of days I didn't have to do anything, just plug in the USB cable and it seemed fine. After some messing around I found that by holding the boot button down then pressing the hidden button on top of the S3, releasing the boot button and then the button on the S3 the USB found the device. However, I've noticed sometimes it likes to connect on Com 4 and other times on Com 9 for some reason?
