@efried https://docs.m5stack.com/#/en/quick_start/m5stickc/m5stickc_quick_start_with_uiflow See the section titled USB programming mode. There you will find instructions to get the device into USB mode. “Click the power button on the left side of the device to restart, after entering the menu, quickly click the right button to select USB mode.”

@m5stack : So far the "80Mhz" fix is holding up since Oct-21st , running on 2 units. Program and IDE are the same when running at 240MHz. When the problem occurs (at 240MHz), both units lock up so bad, that they will not even reboot. I will try a few more M5StickC running at 240Mhz (with exact same program and programmed from same IDE) and see if they again lock up after a few days.

Hi Mike! happy you solved it, would you mind sharing what driver you used? we have shared on our M5Stack documentation how to install drivers for different system, have you tried to follow that? it didn't work for you?

I've just started out but it looks like the following shows the voltage and mine maxed out at 4.178V, this gradually decreases and I think below 3.6V isn't really usable. You can use this and some testing to determine the percentage of battery. #include "M5StickCPlus.h" TFT_eSprite Disbuff = TFT_eSprite(&M5.Lcd); void setup() { M5.begin(); M5.Axp.ScreenBreath(8); M5.Lcd.setRotation(1); Disbuff.createSprite(240, 135); Disbuff.setTextColor(TFT_WHITE); } void loop() { Disbuff.fillRect(0, 0, 240, 135, TFT_BLACK); Disbuff.setCursor(10, 10); Disbuff.printf("BAT_V: %.3fV",M5.Axp.GetBatVoltage()); Disbuff.pushSprite(0,0); } There are other options power functions that may help in this doc: AXP192 (Power management) Good luck.

Finally got it working correctly. I had to use M5Burner to erase my M5StickC, and then set it all up again from scratch and reprogram it. At least I was able to get it to forget old wifi networks.

Hello Jack you are welcome and thank you. You'll need to check the MPU6886 datasheet There is a sleep mode bit (Bit 6) in register 107 (power management 1). When I read that register I get 0x01 which seems to be the default. To put MPU6886 into sleep mode I'd write 0x41 into that register like that: import i2c_bus i2c0 = i2c_bus.easyI2C(i2c_bus.PORTA, 0x68, freq=400000) i2c0.write_u8(107, 0x41) Thanks Felix
