Have you changed any settings on the display? In other words, did you do anything special before this problem occurred? Did the problem develop gradually or suddenly? Does the screen behave the same way when you flash other firmware?
Providing more detailed information would be very helpful to our product.

Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System.

No, I did not do anything special.

        It happened all the sudden.

I haven't tried that yet. I need to look up how to do that.

One thing I noticed was that while powered through USB-C port, the Tab5 gets really hot, especially around the USB-C port on the display side.

I would definitely a hardware problem, probably due to the connection to the display.
Also on the point of heat, the TAB5 seems to draw nearly almost 3 Watts, probably mostly on the larger display back light. I have had great problems powering it because of this. at 12 Volts on the HVIN it draws up to 240mA.

Yeah, I agree with you. It looks like the durability issue...

This is the second time I've seen this hardware problem. The first time is not on a Tab5 but on another brand. I assume you also have a pulsation problem.

I contacted the reseller. They said they'd contact m5stack.

Yes, it is the display's problem. Its flex cable might be damaged.

The reseller sent me a new one and it's working. I send them back the defective one so that they can investigate and improve the quality and durability.
