yes Uiflow 2.0 web needs Uiflow 2.0 firmware inside controller.

RE: Cardputer COM Not Working

@ajb2k3 Yes, I tested the first time this was suggested. In fact, the first cable I was using was just for charging a portable gaming console. Then I tried a few more, inclund cables for smartphones, external drives, etc. And I tested then on their specific devices, everything normal.
No idea why the cheapest one worked on cardputer, though.
I'm glad you have it working now...mark this cable up as Cardputer saver cable

M5GO Modbus TCP
Does UIFLOW supports Modbus TCP? Trying to read Modbus device (meter) over WiFi but all I can see is hardwired Modbus using UART on pins 17/16.

RE: Core 2 bricked after attempting to install firmware
usually when you press "burn" in M5Burner there is red button "erase" thats even without M5 module being detected, before com port selection

New cable, same error. In fact, I just tested it on Fedora 39 (fresh installed), I still haven't been able to put the device in download mode. Maybe I'm forgetting a drive, which makes the device "recognize" the computer as a charger. Still, I reinstalled them all again, with no result.
I have M5Dial with StampS3 at the back...had to remove sticker to see and feel when "boot" button is pressed and hold before usb is plugged in - its almost hard to sense way different from pressing reset button where you can hear click.
With my Dial when say com13 was unresponsive then going in to boot mode made com12 to be available so in short words diff com for programming and different for boot mode - thats my experience with StampS3 from my M5Dial - i had it few times in some unresponsive mode. -

I also tried this button, here is another video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vlx79AmbrPk
I have tried all the solutions so far: Pressing the BTNGO key, pressing the button below the sticker, no sign of the LED or recognition on the machine, whether in M5 Burner or in the device manager. I'm trying to contact M5 Stack support to check the possibility of a hardware problem.
have you tried Uiflow2 web burner option with "boot press"? bottom left corner

I didn't know about this application. I just tested it, but it doesn't connect either.
you said that com5 is showing and vanishing when you connect to usb,
what com port is showing when you press and hold BTN Download Mode button and then connect usb? Is it com5 too or different com number? -

@teastain Would be great, thanks! I'm using 2.2.1, sometimes I found a "Unknown COM3" device on it that may be the cardputer (not sure yet). I was looking for a way to burn the bin with the Arduino IDE, but if I can do this by the code itself, would be nice too xD
where are you from @HankTTTop ? UK by chance?

Well, I left it plugged in for 5 hours, and it's still showing as 75% charged. Anyone else have any ideas?
is it plugged in to "phone charger" or laptop/pc usb port?

RE: How to use M5Unit-PoESP32 ?
@frankqc said in How to use M5Unit-PoESP32 ?:
M5Unit-PoESP32
do you have any other controller to work with it?
The way I see it is that ie you have let say M5Core with some I2C units (sensors) connected to it
then add your M5Unit-PoESP32 connected to M5Core too over UART port (blue) to give whole setup access to local network and power ... -
RE: First Project - GPS on Core2 w/ UIFlow2.0
added photo explains it,
you have no Core2 bottom extension with uart blue portC on it.
you are connecting UART type gps unit (blue port) in to Core2 default I2C port - which can and needs to be reconfigured to accept UART type of communication -
RE: First Project - GPS on Core2 w/ UIFlow2.0
@deckyon said in First Project - GPS on Core2 w/ UIFlow2.0:
So, I am working on a simple first project using the GPS. I am basing it off the one for the ENVII. I have a Core2 with UIFLow 2.0 Below is the code. It displays the labels, and displays what looks like data from the GPS, but it never changes and is not correct as if it is not finding satellites or even looking for them. Is there something else I need to do in the code to initialize the GPS Unit correctly. I am not a coder, this is literally my first time trying anything like this. I got the Core2 and the GPS to start learning. Yes, I have been outside and waited with clear skies and the Core2 has plenty of battery.
have you tried any of factory examples - easyloader or arduino for gps just to prove that it is working? also your GPS unit is the UART type - blue port correct? Do you have bottom expansion with blue port on your Core2? if no then you need to reconfigure it
your code: gps_0 = GPSUnit((13, 14))
GPS connected to PortA gps_0 = GPSUnit((33, 32)) -
RE: M5 stick cplus 1.1 won't connect
@bdtprez general rule is to keep controller firmware same as web uiflow version, so current web uiflow 2.0 is 2.0.1 and such firmware is available via M5Burner, Uiflow 2.0 has build in firmware manager too. (botom left hand side).

RE: Cardputer COM Not Working
@hanktttop said in Cardputer COM Not Working:
@ariel-jorge @ariel-jorge Hi Ariel! Thanks for the comment.
It didn't work in my scenario. My problem is that the cardputer possibly came with a factory defect. It is not recognized on any machine, whether Windows or Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, Pop_OS!) , even with the appropriate drivers installed. This way he can't "lose" a connection he couldn't initiate. I thought it was being recognized by the Arduino IDE, but apparently what appeared in COM5 was my usb hub.
I've been trying to contact the seller since the end of January.
At this point, perhaps you guys understand my frustration. Most likely this seller is not the official one and I probably was scammed.
were are you located? which country? from your posts I can see that it was ok initially then you "lost connection" after downloading nemo firmware correct?

RE: Cardputer COM Not Working
@hanktttop said in Cardputer COM Not Working:
@robski I'm from Brazil. The device apparently arrived OK, working with the demo firmware without any problems. On the same day, I tried installing other firmwares, but I couldn't connect with any of them. I wouldn't say nemo was the cause, because it wasn't installed. In fact, the Cardputer continues to work with the demo firmware as it arrived, but I can't connect it. I've already tested it on three machines, Windows and Linux. From what I understand from the suggestions, it doesn't even enter bootloader mode.
would love to help but im in UK,
understand, sorry took that nemo was installed fine and you lost the way to connect to it understand now,
just wonder if you tried to go to boot mode with StampS3 being out from cardputer base? -
RE: Where can I find examples of using UART module in UIFlow?
@zhoubinx M5 gpio/ grove are 3.3v so if your device side is 3.3 then all good, be sure that tx goes to rx and rx to tx, same baudrate and parity ....

RE: M5StickC Plus 2 Official Arduino Samples Not Working (SOLVED)
does your stick loads ok with latest M5Burner firmware? Is user demo from M5Burner works? I can confirm that arduino M5stickCplus2 examples do work as had them in recently. Display, IR, Rtc, Battery, IMU, I've used Arduino 2.3.2, be sure you pick M5Stick Plus2
