    Members will have noticed that some of us have pictures instead of letters next to our names. This isn't anything to do with status but is a function of the forum available to most (if not all) forum member. To set a picture for your avater you need to click on your letter in the top right hand side of the screen and a menu will appear. Click "Edit Profile" and you will be taken to the profile screen. At the top is a picture with your initial in it, click on it and you can upload an image to use.

    To fix issues with M5Burner on Mac, ensure you’ve installed the correct USB-to-serial drivers (like CP210x or CH340). Run M5Burner using Rosetta if needed. Allow app permissions via System Settings > Privacy & Security. Always download the latest M5Burner version compatible with your mac.

    @ajb2k3 Batteries are plugged in and button pressed to turn BOT on and can move it around with the remote. Is there something else on the BOT to turn on other than the chrome push button? When I move the BOT blue LEDs light and when I first push the push button the while bright LEDs flash on and off.   Thanks.

    I agree! USB power (5V) won’t be enough since the DC input requires at least 6V. If you’re set on using the DC port, you’d need a step-up converter. Otherwise, adding a USB connector to the wires sounds like the easier option.

    Hi @ajb2k3 Yes I have checked the data sheet and it's working fine. Just read all the byte need to long time in my program even if I read with 1Mega. I suspect it would be twice as fast without this pause. I found a information about this break, but i have no idea how to do this with the Uiflow activate polling mode (use portMAX_DELAY) The last parameter -1 stands for the timeout in milliseconds. If you want to ensure that no RTOS scheduling is delayed, you can set portMAX_DELAY i2c_master_transmit_receive(dev_handle, buffer, 2, buf, 9, portMAX_DELAY);

    @CornStarchTech yes, if you don’t put it in in the correct rotation it is a pain. I took mine apart for a guide video and never again

    @shinshin8 You must ignore that the Arduino IDE reports lilygo boards and select your own Core from the drop down. The IDE is just trying to be helpful, but is always wrong, just ignore it and select the correct board from the drop down list in the little window here:[image: 1739373850129-1600.jpg] Also questions: Are you using this example: https://github.com/m5stack/M5Unit-ReflectiveIR/blob/main/examples/detect.ino? Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity trim pot full scale, CW, CCW? Your hand may not reflect enough IR. The output is active low, so you should see 0Vdc when a reflective object is in the path. ADC will output 0 digital, Off as well.

    @franzhoepfinger I'm very encouraged by your report of success! Which is why I resurrected this thread instead of starting a new redundant one about CoreS3 and LAN Base. Could you please list the libraries you include to make this work, and perhaps your setup code? My application requires static IP address, with no DNS, or DHCP available on the network. I just bought LAN Base W5500 V12 and a CoreS3-SE. The schematics for LAN Base and LAN Module look the same regarding connection to the M5 bus. The doc for LAN PoE base mentions a conflict for the INTn pin and some CoreS3 integrated peripheral--is that relevant, or does it just mean I can't use the alternate device that is also hardwired to the bus pin? I've tried 4 different example programs in the Arduino\libraries and downloaded from M5stack github. A couple don't work because they use a SPI library that uses VSPI. Also tried to piece together something using these as guides, and to try default Arduino Ethernet. I haven't been able to reach/initialize the LAN module with many attempts. Thank you!

    @ajb2k3 said in Forum blocking some Apple Private Relay IP addresses...: @achayne I have never been IP banned but I have been affected by an IP ban. The problem is that IPV4 is serverly limited with only 4,294,967,296 available but there are 8.2 billion people on earth. assuming that every one has a TV+computer+smartphone that means that about 24 billion IPV4 address are needed which just isn't available. when a modem or mobile device resets, its external IPV4 address resets which mean s that at some point, an innocent user will end up with one of the black listed IPV4 address. I have had this a few time and had to reset the device and router to get a new IP address. Sadly IPV4 is still sticking around, but luckily IPV6 has been making headway. One plus to using Apple Private Relay, is you just open a new tab and have a new IP most of the time, although the pools are fairly small for each "Maintain general location" region. and the "Use country and time zone" pools also have larger groups of users crammed into the pools since there are less of those node locations globally. (I'm in NYC, so both the local & timezone pools were the same, and 11 of the 15 IPs were blocked by M5Stack). @felmue said in Forum blocking some Apple Private Relay IP addresses...: Hello @achayne thank you for your explanation. Yes, we are blocking locally. That said, I lifted the block for now and we'll how it goes. Thanks Felix Thanks for unblocking the addresses, hopefully the people in my timezone behave on this site and your monitoring algorithm isn't too harsh :)

    @brrainz @erickadengler you could just try removing the connector and solder wire between each unit or now that you have a prototype made with units, look up the circuit diagrams on the site and build a custom pcb containing the devices. Another route is to learn how to make a custom cable/connector. BTW the connectors on the devices are male and not female and so adapters must be female not male

    M5Unified is the more current library compared to M5Core2. The M5Core2 library has been deprecated, and users are encouraged to transition to M5Unified for ongoing support and updates. This transition is part of M5Stack's strategy to unify their libraries under M5Unified, which offers enhanced features and compatibility across various M5Stack devices.

    @jwd3ca Why do you use a VPN to come here, what is to hide? Why this VPN in particular? With some shady characters. "former Mt. Gox (The famous BitCoin fraud/theft) CEO Mark Karpelès runs it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Karpelès# Read up. I was gonna let it slide but you persisted.
