well sorted it out by counting characters...however this will break if the preamble data changes length and i can't locate a spec for this protocol. The UIFlow2 section of the online specs in m5.docs also just says 'coming soon' for UIFlow2....although it does actually exist (albeit undocumented....). Is there another source for this documentation???

@adamm5 Well ChatGPT solved my problem....increasing the spreading factor to 11 has suddenly made everything work. Not sure why such a high SF would be needed between two devices on the same desktop? Will soon find out. In the meantime, the following table gives some interesting perspective on the transmission time for a 19byte payload. SF Symbol Duration Payload Symbols Total Symbols Airtime 7 1.024 ms 37 51.25 0.052 s 8 2.048 ms 37 51.25 0.105 s 9 4.096 ms 37 51.25 0.210 s 10 8.192 ms 37 51.25 0.420 s 11 16.384 ms 37 51.25 0.839 s 12 32.768 ms 37 51.25 1.678 s

@kuriko A follow-up question, if I may... Can an M5Stack controller accept power from the Grove connector? If I connect an Atom-Lite to a Roller485Lite via the I2C port and supply 12V to the Roller485 through the PWR485 port, will this provide power to the Atom-Lite? There appears to be a path through the schematics... TIA Martin

@djairguilherme said in New ESPHome Support for M5StamPLC: Thanks ChirpyChips aka @Beormund. I used your implementation with ESPHome to interface with a Schneider Phase Inverter. I wrote a tutorial on Hackster.io. https://www.hackster.io/nicolaudosbrinquedos/m5stack-stamp-plc-as-real-plc-3ec3ed Thank you very much for your work! @djairguilherme Nice! At some point I really do need to utilise ESPHome's RS-485 support to expose the M5StamPLC's PWR-485 interface as a Modbus slave. It's on my TODO list.

I don't recommend this product. This is what it looks like after being in a barely damp plant overnight! No wonder I couldn't get any readings! [image: 1749573531965-img_9390.jpg]

It sounds like the Core2 isn’t maintaining a stable connection with UIFlow. A few things to try: 1. Reflash the firmware with the latest stable UIFlow_Core2 version using M5Burner, and ensure "Internet Mode" is selected. 2. Double-check that the Device Name/API Key in UIFlow matches what's shown on the Core2 screen. 3. Disable any firewalls or antivirus that might block the connection. 4. Try using UIFlow Desktop IDE instead of the web version for better stability. If issues persist, test on another PC to rule out local system conflicts.

Hello @wrs642 from this and your previous post I would guess that there is no battery connected or it is not charged (enough). Thanks Felix

@laursena and @HappyUser I am also trying to get RFID 2 to work with PaHub and running into similar problems: How to work with I2C device that requires initiation ahead of time. In this case, it is MFRC522 mfrc522(0x28); Why 0x28 show up in CH0 readout while RFID 2 is plugged into CH1 on PaHub. You mentioned to get an update version of ClosedCub.cpp? I don't have the directory in my library folder, could you please be more specific. (I also googled it but out of luck there as well). Thanks,

@gantini The sensor is a capacitive sensor and so the higher the reading the lower the moisture level. These are superior to the resistive sensors that rot easy but work the same way.

@NickMaddock Howdy. I know this thread is old, but I just got a couple of these units thinking they would not be hard-wired terminated, too. I guess the lesson for me is to read the schematic even when it seems apparent that you would not want these always to be terminated on each unit. Were you able to find a way to make these work how you wanted? I noticed in the demo video that you could have more than two devices hooked up and that they have two rollercan units connected to an M5Stack Core. Since there is no other documentation, I am assuming that the Core is not terminated, and thus, the three devices shown in the demo video would work together with no issues. Unless there is an easy way to hook these up non-restrictively, I am glad I did not buy more than two. The motors seem nice in every other way,

I, too, am looking for clear-cut information on how to update the firmware on several devices using the STM chips on the Unit itself. I've searched most of the GitHub repos, done web searches, and asked my AI buddies for help, but nothing is directly related to M5 devices.

@robski : Edit: The address conflict is not with the ENV IV units, but with something else - either way I must remain on UIFlow 2. I checked with two additional controllers: Atom matrix, and Stick C plus : The same issue. However, odly I am able to "fool" the controllers for a brief timeperiod by going through a very particular sequence in Block editor: add a PaHUB with some other sensor unit assigned to it in channel 0 of the HUB, and run the script - ALL OK Physically replace the sensor (channel 0) on the HUB with the thermal unit, but assign it directly to the i2c bus, and run the script - ALL OK Add several other sensor unit to the Pa.HUB (but keep the thermal unit assigned to the i2c bus, and run the script - ALL OK (runs several times without an issue, and all sensors respond correctly) After saving the project and relaunching UIFlow 2, the script does not run, with this message: "Thermal unit maybe not connect" Quite confused by this.
