Hello @Schwibach while using UI designer to draw a rectangle works fine, getting the rectangle's parameters (e.g. x, y, ...) is not implemented (at least I couldn't find any get functions for rectangles). That said, I created a Micropython example which uses a Button class to draw the buttons, labels and check for touch. You can find it here. It's not using the UI designer nor is it using blocks but it should give you an idea hopefully. Thanks Felix

@Bat21 Tested in UIFlow 1 with the sample program, it doesn't work either. Here's the error: [image: 1757582116100-253ef438-13f9-48cf-a0c1-72c0f6d81024-image.png] I can't work with these new modules. It's very important to me that they work.

I am sorry but I have the interface backwards. The M5UI interface with the buttons etc. is the one that locks up. Not the M5GFX. Sorry for the screw up.

I tested more UI design. And I found that the memory leak only happens when I use image component and switch images frequently. Is that a UIFlow2.3.3 bug or my design is incorrect?

@csierra67 Further to this suggestion, I tried the mpy route but got an error, type mismatch and the device frozen during upload needed to be burned again to recover control Finally I tried to not set the time and work with the Time section rather than the RTC section with the assumption that the device being connected to Internet anyway, it would get the correct time by itself. The following example works flawlessly and closes my issue as a reference for fuuture developpers[image: 1755173034688-solution.jpg]

@felmue Doh! I was looking under system at the menu options. I didn't think to click on system for the block menu. Thanks for the guidance.

@oracle_sod I recently discovered this problem too, when the device sends multiple reconnections to the server, a memory leak will occur. This problem has existed for a long time.

@phillipsback Slider Odd (Auto jump to max. value. I think might be something wrong in update loop.) Can't success in using grad_dsc_t (can do in style way, but couldn't do in drawing API) other's going well. I prefer LVGL with micropython, althought slow in speed, and troublesome in callback function. But more Object Oriental to make coding logically (I think more clearly.) And ... It's so easy use LVGL in Tab5. Same version UIFlow2.0 firmware in Core2 AWE, have to run M5.begin first. (In someway , Tab5 might wrong in someway....)

  • Why have switch and button widgets been removed from uiflow

Switch and button widgets were removed from UiFlow 2.0 to promote customizable touch interfaces. Instead, users now create interactive zones manually using shapes and handle touch events via coordinates, allowing greater flexibility but requiring more setup than drag-and-drop components.

@kuriko So you are saying it is a software issue rather than hardware which seems to be the case to me. It would be really helpful to have access to the source for the unit classes so I could add functionality through inheritance.

@Handcannon Well the Core and Core2 will no longer compile in Arduino IDE with the latest board def, 3.12 and M5Stack says it is a 'me' problem and recommend I use an earlier revision.
